Frequently asked questions
How do I log a transaction?
From the Dashboard, tap the category you spent on (e.g. Groceries). The transaction form opens with that category preselected — type the merchant and amount, save, and the budget updates instantly. The Log tab in the bottom nav shows your full history.
What is the safe-to-spend headline on the Dashboard?
It's the amount you have left to spend on flexible categories this month, after your bills are accounted for. The pace pill (e.g. "$48/day for 13d") is what's left divided by days remaining — your daily allowance to break even by month-end.
How do I add a custom category?
Go to Budget → tap + Add spending category. Give it a name and a monthly amount. It shows up immediately on the Dashboard as a tappable row.
What happens when I tap × on a row?
It deletes that income / bill / category / debt / investment from your records. A confirmation dialog appears first; the row is gone after you confirm.
Can I backfill past months on the Tracker?
Yes. Tap any cell on the Tracker tab and enter the actual amount for that month. Empty a cell to revert to the scheduled value. Future months sit at zero until they happen.
How do I enable daily safe-to-spend notifications?
Settings → Notifications → toggle on Daily safe-to-spend. On iPhone you must first add the app to your home screen (Safari Share → Add to Home Screen) and open it from there before notifications can be enabled.
Is my data private?
Yes. Each user's data is scoped to their account — no one else can see your numbers. Connections are encrypted (TLS) end-to-end. We don't sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. Read the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Reset & start over wipes your data. To delete the account itself (Clerk login), email us at support@morenofinancialservices.com and we'll remove it within 7 days.
